Registrations for this course are closed.
This course will be held in Pacer Dinghies with two adults plus an instructor in the boat. Students will learn the basic skills of sailing and seamanship as per the Australian Sailing Start Sailing 1 course plus a bit more.
The course fee of $480 includes membership of the club and use of a Pacer Dinghy for practice after the course has been completed.
Students must be water confident. Capsize and recovery is part of the course and wetsuits are strongly recommended, plus a spray jacket, beanie/hat and thermals as well as feet covering. (eg wetsuit boots/reef walkers etc).
Kingston Beach Sailing Club will provide life jackets.
There will be an opportunity to practice your skills after completion of the course, either on a Saturday or perhaps some twilight sailing.

Course Overview
This course introduces participants to dinghy sailing and its fundamental skills so they learn terminology and equipment and practice launching and returning to shore and capsize recovery.

Water confident.
Who should do this course?
This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a dinghy. All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Sailing 1 completion certificate.
