Welcome to the Kingston Beach Sailing Club
We are located at the southern end of Kingston Beach at the mouth of the Derwent River, Hobart, Tasmania. The club boasts some of the best sailing in Australia with views to match.
Whether you are a seasoned sailor or someone who is new to the sport, by joining the Kingston Beach Sailing Club you can enjoy a whole host of benefits, including coaching, low-cost sailing lessons, power boat courses, racing, social events and boat storage.
We also offer a range of adult and junior sailing lessons to the public which provides a great opportunity to experience the fun of sailing in a safe environment.

A learn to sail course for 8-12 year olds with no prior sailing experience. Conducted in our purpose-designed polyethylene Optimist dinghies with two children to a boat.
All our courses are female friendly and follow recommended Covid regulations.
A learn to sail course for 8-12 year olds who have completed Tackers 1 or equivalent.

A sailing and powerboat program designed primarily for 12 to 17 yr old Calvin Students with an emphasis on safety and fun. We want to keep friends together out on the water while learning new sailing skills.
This is a course which can cover Start Sailing 1 or/and Start Sailing 2 depending on the current level of the participants. Dates can also vary depending on agreement between the participants and instructors. The course will be held in Pacer Dinghies.
